Overview

Challenge

Enterprise learning platforms suffer from low adoption (34%) and completion rates (18%). Employees find training content outdated, irrelevant, and disconnected from job responsibilities.

Solution

Conducted 7-month research with 520 employees across 12 companies, 35 L&D managers, and 18 executives. Redesigned platform with personalized learning paths, microlearning content, and job-integrated training, achieving 78% adoption and 64% completion rates.

Key Findings

Usability & Navigation

Users frequently struggle with the complex navigation and outdated interface of the existing LMS, leading to increased cognitive load and frustration when trying to locate specific courses or resources.

Impact: The research findings directly informed the prioritization of a simplified, intuitive information architecture and a modern, clean user interface design for the new learning platform, focusing on ease of discovery and reduced clicks to content.

Content Relevance & Engagement

Employees report difficulty in discovering learning content relevant to their career paths and current roles, and perceive much of the existing content as generic or unengaging, resulting in low completion rates and perceived value.

Impact: This insight led to the recommendation for implementing AI-driven personalized content recommendations, incorporating diverse and interactive content formats (e.g., microlearning, gamification), and enabling user-generated content to foster a more dynamic learning environment.

Integration & Workflow Efficiency

The current LMS operates in isolation, lacking seamless integration with other critical enterprise tools such as HRIS, performance management systems, and communication platforms, creating fragmented workflows and data silos.

Impact: The solution design emphasized robust API integrations with key enterprise systems to ensure a unified employee experience, automate data synchronization, and enable learning to be embedded directly within daily workflows, thereby enhancing efficiency and adoption.
